This is a dark ruby red wine, that has a medium body, rich fruit tannins, medium acidity and a lingering finish. On the nose, there is a lovely aroma of a cherry baked pie, along with some cassis and butterscotch spice. There are also some violet floral notes, integrated with dark cocoa, and black pepper. On the palate, there are some leathery and smokey characteristics, followed by dark cherry flavours. Overall, this is a complex wine, with a firm personality.
